It is fun to browse at Reckless
Reckless Video does have standard genre sections for Comedy, Action, Drama, etc, but one of the things that makes the store special (and a lot of fun to browse through) is our array of nooks, crannies, and subsections... sometimes small and sometimes not-so-small sections of movies among the more normal categories that might be just what you're looking for (even if you didn't know you were looking for it). Finding the right section-- the one that really captures your imagination-- might keep your movie-watching schedule booked for a month, so feel free to wander around and see if anything catches your eye.The New Perfect List
The Perfect List consists of movies assembled by customer submitted votes. We asked those who frequent Reckless Video to submit their list of top 10 movies of all time, after which we then tally up the votes and rank the top 40 movies. It gives our costumers the opportunity to share movies near and dear to them with others. Being one of the hot spots in the Maple Leaf neighborhood, we want to give our customers a sense of community when they come into our store.
Looking over Perfect Lists of years past, you may notice that some movies reappear over and over again. Classics like Casablanca, Star Wars, and The Godfather are always certain to appear due to how timelessly captivating they are; contemporary films tend to pop up as well. On the 2008 Perfect List, films like No Country for Old Men made such an impact on voters at the time that they saw fit to include them in their submission. Looking ahead to the 2011, it appears that The Dark Knight (sequel to Batman Begins) will be one of the more recent inclusions.
We at Reckless don’t see release dates as a criteria for a films eligibility on the list. Rather, we believe some films can stand on their own merit whether they were made in 1910 or 2010. Unless you’re crazy movie viewers like us, it's unlikely that you will have seen all the films on the list, and even if you have, these are certainly films worth repeated viewings. Afterward, we advise you to check out the rest of our newly reorganized store and find some new favorites you’d like to see on the next Perfect List!!
This page will always be highlighting one of Reckless Video's spotlight sections. Right now, it's...
