but... is it Art?
The art of filmmaking has been used on more than one occasion to capture splatters of paint and swipes of the palette knife... movies about art. February's $2 Monthly Special focuses on these movies: everything from the artistically inspired fictional characters (like Enid, Ghost World's sketchbook cartoonist)), to the artist biopics (such as Jackson Pollock's history in Pollock), and including documentaries about artists (like The Life & Times Of Frida Kahlo). They'll all be $2 for the month of February, under the TV in the front room.
