Nader and his wife Simin sit in front of a judge in Best Foreign Oscar Winner A Separation, as Simin wants a divorce and Nader wants to maintain the status-quo... but the customs and laws in Tehran, Iran force them to stay together. Though Simin wants to leave Iran for a safer, more stable environment to raise their daughter, Nader insists on staying to take care of his ailing father.
