Oh come on... it's sweet

In the American remake of Mostly Martha (available in the Reckless Video's Foreign: German section), No Reservations, Catherine Zeta-Jones (The Mask of Zorro, The Terminal) is a master chef in complete control of her kitchen... but her life isn't as easy when trying to care for her orphaned niece (Abigail Breslin: The Ultimate Gift, Little Miss Sunshine) or dealing with her handsome new employee (Aaron Eckhart: Thank You for Smoking, Conversations with Other Women) as she learns to love more than just her profession.

Anne Hathaway (The Princess Diaries, The Devil Wears Prada) portrays a young Jane Austen in Becoming Jane as the then-unpublished writer experiences romance and the formalities of class that would later make her work timeless. John Cusack (High Fidelity, Bullets Over Broadway) is a lonely sci-fi writer who adopts a boy who claims to be from Mars, but the two outcasts can help one another to open their hearts in Martian Child. Brenda Blethyn (Secrets and Lies, Little Voice) is a show-biz hopeful as she tries to keep her family together in Introducing the Dwights, but as her son meets his dream girl and threatens to leave the nest, she starts to worry that her star will never rise and her family may fall apart.

It's not all romance and Crème brûlée

Casey Affleck (Ocean's Eleven, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford) stars in his directorial debut as a private investigator with Michelle Monaghan (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, The Heartbreak Kid) in Gone Baby Gone, as they investigate the working class streets of Boston to find a missing little girl, only to find that their situation is more complicated and dangerous than either of them imagined. We Own the Night pits a New York nigtclub owner (Joaquin Phoenix: Walk the Line, To Die For) against the police family he struggles to distance himself from, as his brother (Mark Wahlberg: The Departed, Boogie Nights) pressures him to testify against the drug dealers that do business in his club. Rosario Dawson (Sin City, Clerks II) delivers a powerful performance in Descent as a woman who survives a traumatic event ro find her life forever changed.

Jeff Bridges (The Big Lebowski, American Heart) is a man in the midst of a mid-life crisis in The Amatures, who starts and adult film company with the help of a few neighborhood pals. Tyler Perry's (Diary of a Mad Black Woman, Madea's Family Reunion) newest film, Why Did I Get Married, puts eight friends in a cabin to muse over the strengths of their relationships and their place in life. Romance & Cigarettes is a musical about marraige, adultery, and family that comes between James Gandofini (The Sopranos, Lonely Hearts) and Susan Sarandon (Igby Goes Down, Bob Roberts) set to classic rock and roll.
