Suspense like Clockwork

Fracture is the new "cat & mouse" thriller where Anthony Hopkins (The World's Fastest Indian, Hannibal) commits the Perfect Murderä, designing an airtight revenge against his adulterous wife. Ryan Gosling (The Believer, Murder By Numbers) is the cocky lawyer determined to find weaknesses in Hopkins' immaculate crime.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Brick, Manic) plays a wunderkind struggling to deal with recent, accident-related brain damage when he is offered the job of The Lookout in a local bank heist. Unable to rely on his own memory and with no one to rely on but his blind roommate Lew (Jeff Daniels: The Squid and the Whale, Speed), he struggles with extraordinary circumstances to try and come out on top.

Four friends try to shake off the the suburban doldrums by taking their weekend motorcycle club cross-country in Wild Hogs. John Travolta (Get Shorty, Primary Colors), William H. Macy (State and Main, The Cooler), Martin Lawrence (Bad Boys, Big Momma's House), and Tim Allen (Zoom, Joe Somebody) star in this road movie/buddy comedy, pitting the four friends against the road, the culture, and a real biker gang.

Vacancy is a new thriller where Luke Wilson (Old School, The Royal Tenenbaums) and Kate Beckinsdale (Underworld, Laurel Canyon) are stranded in a motel and forced to fight for their lives and their marriage. Jonathan Rhys Meyers (Match Point, Prozac Nation) plays The King in Elvis, the miniseries treatment of Elvis Presley's rise and eventual decline. The Marvel comic Doctor Strange is a new animated feature this week, as well as a pair of documentaries: A Crude Awakening, about the future of petroleum consumption and production as well as its predicted effects, and God Grew Tired of Us, about Sudanese boys forced to leave their homes because of civil war in their homeland. Finally, Reckless has brought in the BBC Robin Hood Series.
