When he's not lyin, Al's the most honest person you'll ever meet

We don't usually open the list with TV shows, but the biggest release this week is arguably the third and final season of HBO's Deadwood, bringing to a close the critically acclaimed story of a frontier town outside the established laws of the pioneers of the United States. We have brought in the first season of How I Met Your Mother and Kathy Griffin's My Life on the D-List, as well as the newest entry in Showtime's Masters of Horror series, The Screwfly Solution , by Joe Dante (The Howling, Piranah). The newest animated Hellboy, Blood and Iron is in our anime section, as well as the second installment of the Hellsing Ultimate OVA.

Chris Cooper (American Beauty, The Bourne Identity) portrays the FBI's scandalous Robert Hanssen in Billy Ray's (Shattered Glass) Breach, which features notable performances from Ryan Phillippe (Half Nelson) and Laura Linney (Kinsey). A more devil-may-care release is the Marvel comic Ghostrider, where Nicolas Cage (The Rock, Con Air) rides under his contract with Mephisopheles, played by Peter Fonda (Easy Rider, Escape from LA). Blood & Chocolate is a werewolf tale brought to us by the makers of the Underworld series starring Agnes Bruckner (The Woods, Haven), and we have two more features with Tom Selleck (Her Alibi, Magnum PI) as Robert Parker's Jesse Stone, Death in Paradise and Night Passage. A pair of romantic comedies are also new this week, both The Honeymooners, where a jilted groom and a recently unemployed waitress pursue a honeymoon for a marriage that never happened, and Mistress of Spices, a Chocolat themed romance about an Indian spice shop owner (Bollywood star Aishawrya Ray, Bride and Prejudice) in San Francisco and the magic her spices bring to her customers.

Consumer advocate and onetime presidential candidate Ralph Nader is the subject of the documentary An Unreasonable Man, recounting his early years and discussing Nader's current impact, and Glastonbury documents the titular English music festival from the 1960's to the present, both covering the culture and featuring musical performances.
